Gentler vein harvesting tested to make heart bypass grafts last longer
NCT ID NCT03501303
Summary
This study aimed to see if a gentler method for taking a leg vein for heart bypass surgery leads to better long-term results than the standard method. It involved 902 patients who needed a first-time, non-emergency bypass operation. Researchers compared how often the bypass grafts became blocked or narrowed within two years after surgery.
