First human test of experimental brain injection for rare neurological disease
NCT ID NCT04539041
Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of an experimental drug called NIO752 in people with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare and serious brain disorder. Fifty-nine participants received either the drug or a placebo via spinal injections over several months. The main goal was to check for side effects and see how the drug moves through the body, not to treat the disease itself.
