Summary
This study tested whether a low dose of nilotinib, a drug already used for leukemia, is safe for people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers gave the drug or a placebo to 75 participants to check for side effects and measure changes in brain chemicals linked to Parkinson's. The goal was to see if nilotinib could help control the disease by clearing harmful proteins in the brain.
