Can a speaking valve help tracheostomy patients sleep better? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06229639
Summary
This study aimed to find out if it is safe for people with a tracheostomy tube to wear a special speaking valve while they sleep. It also checked if wearing the valve could improve their sleep quality. The study involved 33 adults in a long-term care hospital who could already use the valve during the day. Researchers monitored their vital signs overnight to look for any safety issues.
