New NICU therapy aims to ease parent stress and boost baby development
NCT ID NCT06927037
Summary
This study is testing different ways of delivering physical and occupational therapy in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Researchers want to see if a more involved, 'immersive' therapy program can help reduce stress for parents of very premature babies and improve the infants' motor skills. The study will compare outcomes from a current standard program to a new small baby unit and then to the immersive therapy model.
