Common vitamin tested as potential treatment for widespread liver condition
NCT ID NCT06843148
Summary
This study is testing whether a common vitamin, niacin (vitamin B3), can help reduce fat buildup in the liver of people with fatty liver disease. Researchers will compare niacin against a placebo in 36 participants aged 50-80 to see if it helps the body store fat in healthier places instead of the liver. The goal is to understand if this approach could help manage this common liver condition.
