First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment plan for people with a certain type of locally advanced rectal cancer (MSS-type). The plan combines short-course radiation, chemotherapy, an immunotherapy drug (serplulimab), and a targeted therapy (bevacizumab) before surgery. The goal is to see if this approach can completely eliminate the cancer before surgery, potentially allowing more patients to avoid a permanent colostomy. The study will enroll 30 adults aged 18-75.
