Could an immunotherapy combo slow advanced colorectal cancer?

Summary
This study tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug atezolizumab to standard chemotherapy and targeted therapy can help people with a specific type of advanced colorectal cancer live longer without their disease getting worse. The trial enrolls 238 adults whose cancer has spread and cannot be removed by surgery, and who have a particular genetic marker (pMMR) and a high immune score. Participants will receive either the standard treatment alone or the standard treatment plus atezolizumab.
