New drug combo aims to ease Cancer's painful fluid buildup
NCT ID NCT04914598
Summary
This study is testing if adding a drug called Endostar to a standard chemotherapy (cisplatin) works better to control fluid buildup in the chest or abdomen caused by advanced cancer. About 290 adults whose cancer has spread and caused this fluid buildup will receive either the new combination or the standard treatment alone. The main goal is to see if the new combination helps patients go longer without needing a painful procedure to drain the fluid.
