New 'Skin Stiffness' test could predict diabetic foot ulcers
NCT ID NCT07470255
Summary
This study is testing a new way to spot early skin damage in the feet of people with diabetes. Researchers will use a special device to measure how stiff and stretchy the skin on the bottom of the foot is. The goal is to see if these measurements can serve as an early warning sign for foot ulcers, which are a major cause of amputations. The study will compare measurements from 200 people, including those with and without diabetes.
