Could a simple ultrasound replace MRI for prostate cancer?
NCT ID NCT06024772
Summary
This study aims to see if a new, contrast-enhanced ultrasound technique is as good as the current standard MRI for finding aggressive prostate cancer during a biopsy. About 300 men scheduled for a prostate biopsy will undergo both the new ultrasound and a standard MRI. Doctors will compare how accurately each method guides the biopsy needle to the most serious cancers.
