New combo therapy aims to slow metastatic prostate cancer

Summary

This study tests if adding a freezing procedure (cryoablation) and a chemotherapy drug (cyclophosphamide) to standard hormone therapy can better control metastatic prostate cancer. About 104 men with newly diagnosed, advanced prostate cancer will receive the combination treatment. Researchers will track how long the cancer stays under control and monitor side effects.
