New polio vaccine tested in 1,200 infants
NCT ID NCT07297186
Summary
This completed Phase 3 trial tested a new inactivated polio vaccine in 1,200 healthy two-month-old infants. The goal was to see if the vaccine was safe and if it successfully triggered the babies' immune systems to develop protective antibodies against polio. Researchers compared the new vaccine's performance to an existing, approved polio vaccine.
