First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a new surgical technique for lifting the sinus floor (a common procedure before placing upper jaw dental implants). The method uses a special vibrating tool called piezosurgery to gently remove bone and lift the sinus lining. Researchers studied 89 patients to see if this approach reduces complications like tearing the sinus membrane or causing bleeding. The goal was to learn how safe and effective this new technique is.
