Scientists test 'Tumor-Homing' tracer to light up cancer on scans
NCT ID NCT01266096
Summary
This study is testing a new, experimental radioactive tracer designed to stick to cancer cells. The tracer is injected before a PET scan to see if it helps create clearer pictures of melanoma or brain tumors. The goal is to see if this method is safe and where the tracer goes in the body, not to treat the cancer. Results will help plan future studies.
