Heart scan could sharpen diagnosis of brain diseases

NCT ID NCT07176286

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan that looks at nerves in the heart to help doctors better diagnose Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia. Researchers will compare scans from 20 people with these conditions to scans from people with other neurological diseases. The goal is to see if this new imaging method can provide clearer, more reliable pictures to aid in diagnosis.
