New scan aims to map hidden cancer tumors
NCT ID NCT06732336
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to better detect and map breast cancer that has spread. The scan uses a radioactive tracer attached to a cancer-targeting drug to find tumors with low levels of a protein called HER2. Researchers hope this 'whole-body biopsy' method will help doctors see all the cancer spots and choose the best personalized treatment for each patient.
