New imaging agent aims to unmask hidden lobular breast cancer metastases

Summary
This early-phase study tests a new radioactive tracer called [68Ga]Ga DOTA-5G for PET/CT scans in 30 people with advanced invasive lobular breast cancer. The goal is to see if it can better detect cancer spread than standard scans. Researchers will also check for side effects within a week of the injection.
