New pain block aims to numb skin graft site, not your leg

NCT ID NCT07221903

Summary

This study is testing a new type of nerve block to reduce pain after skin graft surgery. The goal is to numb the area on the thigh where skin is taken for the graft, but without causing leg weakness like older methods can. Researchers will carefully map the area that goes numb in 10 patients to see how well and consistently the new block works.
