MRI breakthrough could transform how doctors monitor spinal arthritis

NCT ID NCT07230327

Summary

This study is developing a new whole-body MRI system to better measure disease activity in people with axial spondyloarthritis (a type of spinal arthritis). Researchers will scan 100 patients and use computer analysis to create a model that links MRI findings to symptoms and disease progression over two years. The goal is to provide doctors with a more accurate and objective tool than current methods, which rely heavily on patient-reported symptoms.
