3D-Printed mesh tested to rebuild shattered faces
NCT ID NCT06958510
Summary
This study tested a new, pre-shaped 3D mesh implant designed to repair complex fractures of the eye socket and cheekbone. Researchers compared this new mesh to the standard combination of plates and mesh used in surgery. The goal was to see if the new implant could better restore facial structure and function for patients with these serious injuries.
