Could a simple scan replace painful liver biopsies?

Summary
This study is testing a new type of ultrasound that measures liver stiffness and fat content. It aims to see if this scan can be as accurate as a liver biopsy, which is the current standard but is more invasive. Researchers will compare the new scan results to biopsy findings and other non-invasive tests in 300 adults with suspected fatty liver disease (MASLD or MASH).
