New hope for kids with tough leukemia: early trial tests drug to boost chemo
NCT ID NCT05146739
Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety and best dose of a new drug called uproleselan when given with two standard chemotherapy drugs (fludarabine and cytarabine). It is for children and teenagers (ages 1-17) whose acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, or mixed phenotype acute leukemia has come back or has not responded to previous treatments. The goal is to see if uproleselan can help the chemotherapy work better by preventing cancer cells from hiding in the bone marrow.
