Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new radioactive imaging drug to see if it can safely and accurately find the first lymph nodes where head and neck cancer has spread. The drug is designed to attach to cancer cells and light them up on a special scan before surgery. Researchers hope this method will be better than current techniques at finding small amounts of cancer that have spread, which is crucial for planning the right treatment.
