NCT ID NCT06548386

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a new, reusable gas analyzer that attaches to chest drains to detect air leaks after lung surgery. The device measures CO2, O2, and pressure to help doctors see if a leak is present. About 33 adults having thoracic surgery will take part. The goal is to see if the device works as well as or better than looking for bubbles in the drain.
