New pill could spot hidden cause of chronic constipation
NCT ID NCT06850415
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a new, locally made capsule to see if it can diagnose slow-transit constipation as well as the standard capsule. Twenty adults (healthy or with constipation) took both capsules at the same time and had an abdominal X-ray five days later. The goal was to check if the new capsule matches the standard one in measuring how long waste moves through the colon.
