Summary
This study is testing a new technique for cochlear implants that aims to stimulate more of the inner ear without using longer electrode wires. The goal is to improve speech understanding and sound quality for people with significant hearing loss. Researchers are enrolling 40 adults who are already eligible for or have received a specific brand of cochlear implant to compare the new method against standard approaches.
