Scientists test 'Off-the-Shelf' cell therapy that may outlast cancer

NCT ID NCT06481735

Summary

This study is testing a new type of cell therapy for adults whose B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia has come back or hasn't responded to standard treatments. Doctors take immune cells from healthy donors, genetically modify them to better target and fight leukemia cells, and infuse them into patients. The goal is to see if this 'off-the-shelf' approach is safe and effective, with early data suggesting these modified cells may persist longer in the body and avoid dangerous immune reactions.
