Scientists test 'Ready-Made' immune cell therapy for tough blood cancers

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new type of cancer treatment called P-CD19CD20-ALLO1 in adults with specific B-cell lymphomas that have come back or not responded to standard therapies. The treatment involves giving patients a single infusion of specially engineered immune cells (CAR-T cells) from a donor, not the patient themselves, after a short course of chemotherapy. Researchers will carefully monitor patients to find the safest dose and see if the therapy can shrink their cancer.
