Breakthrough brain stent trial aims to stop strokes before they happen

Summary
This study is testing a new, drug-releasing stent designed to prop open narrowed arteries in the brain and prevent future strokes. It will compare the new stent to an existing one in 224 patients who have recently had a stroke or warning signs. The main goal is to see if the new stent is at least as good at keeping the artery from narrowing again within a year.
