New bone graft shows promise in fighting severe gum disease
NCT ID NCT07500961
Summary
This study tested a new bone substitute material called ALBO-OS in patients with severe gum disease (periodontitis) or those needing jawbone preservation after a tooth extraction. The goal was to see if the material could help heal deep gum pockets and rebuild bone to support future dental implants or save teeth. Twenty adult participants received the material, and researchers measured gum health and bone growth over several months.
