Brain training tested to ease Veterans' lingering concussion symptoms
NCT ID NCT04195685
Summary
This study tested whether a non-invasive brain training technique called neurofeedback could help veterans who have lingering symptoms from a mild concussion. 87 veterans with chronic headaches, sleep problems, and trouble focusing were randomly assigned to either receive the neurofeedback training or be in a control group. Researchers measured changes in headache impact, sleep quality, attention, and overall well-being over several months to see if the training provided relief.
