First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether wrapping the nerve that controls the shoulder with a special protective cover during neck cancer surgery can reduce pain and weakness a year later. About 90 adults with head and neck cancer who need neck dissection are taking part. The goal is to see if this simple addition to surgery leads to better shoulder function and quality of life.
