Scientists test new tools to map nerve damage in rare diseases

NCT ID NCT07461896

Summary

This study aims to better understand and diagnose nerve disorders like Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). Researchers will test new electrical measurement techniques and ultrasound scans on the nerves and muscles of 39 adult participants who have these conditions. The goal is to find clearer patterns that could help doctors tell these diseases apart and track their progression more accurately in the future.
