New nerve bridge aims to heal injuries without taking your own nerves

NCT ID NCT06529835

Summary

This study is testing a new device called NeuroSpan Bridge to see if it works as well as or better than current methods for repairing damaged nerves in arms and legs. Researchers will compare it against two existing treatments: a collagen tube and the current gold standard where surgeons take a small nerve from another part of your body. The main goal is to see which method best restores feeling and movement one year after surgery.
