Which nerve is best for tracking muscle relaxation in surgery?

NCT ID NCT06553131

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the median nerve in the arm can be used to monitor muscle relaxation during surgery as effectively as the commonly used ulnar nerve. Researchers will measure muscle responses after giving a muscle relaxant to 32 adults having elective surgery. The goal is to see if the median nerve is a reliable alternative for monitoring.
