New nerve block may ease pain after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT06639503

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether numbing a specific nerve in the knee (a nerve block) provides better pain relief after surgery for a broken knee bone compared to the standard approach of numbing only the surgical cut. Researchers will measure pain levels and painkiller use in 38 adults who have this surgery. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage post-operative pain.
