First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study aims to find out how often rare hormone disorders cause dangerous salt loss in newborns, beyond the common condition caught by standard screening. Researchers will review medical records of up to 25 babies born between 1989 and 2023 who had low sodium levels in their first two months of life. The goal is to better understand these conditions and improve diagnosis and treatment.
