Front or back? trial seeks best surgery for pinched spinal cord

Summary
This study aims to find the best surgical approach for patients with multi-level cervical spondylotic myelopathy, a common cause of spinal cord dysfunction. It compares surgery from the front of the neck (ventral) to surgery from the back (dorsal) to see which leads to better physical function and quality of life one year later. The trial involves 269 participants and measures outcomes like pain, disability, and ability to work.
