Groundbreaking neck surgery trial offers new hope for halting Alzheimer's
NCT ID NCT06965062
Summary
This study is testing a new surgical procedure for Alzheimer's disease. Doctors will create a bypass in the neck to help the brain drain harmful waste proteins more effectively. The goal is to see if this surgery is safe and can slow or stop the progression of Alzheimer's in a small group of 10 participants. Researchers will monitor patients' memory, thinking, and daily function for up to two years after the operation.
