Tiny study probes neck surgery before radiation for rare cancer
NCT ID NCT07180173
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked back at medical records of 7 people with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer (stage N3) to see if removing neck tumors before radiation helps prevent cancer from coming back or spreading. The goal was to understand if certain imaging features predict recurrence and if surgery improves survival. Because it only reviewed past data from a small group, it cannot prove that surgery works, but it may guide future research.
