Neck pain study reveals surprising link between muscle stamina and body awareness

NCT ID NCT07321119

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how long neck muscles can hold a contraction (endurance) and how well people can sense their neck's position (proprioception) in those with cervical radiculopathy—a pinched nerve in the neck causing pain and arm symptoms. Researchers will measure these abilities in 80 adults aged 20-60 using special devices. The goal is to understand the connection so that future rehabilitation can better target muscle training.
