First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested whether doing gentle neck stretches and strengthening exercises for 10 days after thyroid surgery could reduce pain and improve quality of life. 93 adults who had their thyroid removed were split into two groups: one did the exercises, the other received standard care. Results showed that the exercise group had less neck pain and better early recovery.
