First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a new approach for people with head and neck cancer that had spread or come back. It combined a drug called NBTXR3 (activated by radiation) with the immunotherapy pembrolizumab. The goal was to see if this mix could shrink tumors and improve survival. The trial was stopped early after enrolling only 14 participants, so results are limited.
