New nasal splint technique may improve brain fluid leak repair

NCT ID NCT07368348

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to fix cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks using a small plastic splint to support a tissue graft during nose surgery. It compares this method to the standard flap technique in 20 adults with leaks in both nostrils. The goal is to see if the splint helps the graft heal better and stop the leak more reliably.
