Can storytelling ease depression in seniors?

NCT ID NCT07371988

Summary

This study is testing whether an 8-week group therapy program using narrative therapy can help reduce symptoms of depression in older adults. The program involves sharing and reframing personal life stories to build a more positive self-identity. Researchers will compare 110 participants aged 60+ who either receive the therapy immediately or are placed on a waitlist, measuring changes in depression, self-esteem, and wellbeing.
