Summary
This study is testing whether a small, implanted pellet of the medication naltrexone can help adults with moderate-to-severe alcohol use disorder reduce heavy drinking over six months. Participants will receive either the active implant or a placebo (inactive) implant under the skin of their abdomen, along with supportive counseling. Researchers will track drinking days, cravings, and overall functioning to see if the implant is effective and safe.
