First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether taking naltrexone pills as needed, along with using a smartphone app that provides real-time support, could help men who have sex with men cut down on methamphetamine use. Sixty participants were randomly assigned to receive either the active medication or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal was to see if the combination reduced meth-positive urine tests and risky sexual behaviors.
