New dental study aims to ease the dreaded root canal
NCT ID NCT07262554
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a medication called N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to a standard root canal procedure can help patients feel less pain afterward and heal better. It will compare NAC against the usual medication in 40 adults with infected, non-living teeth. Researchers will measure pain levels and check how well the bone around the tooth heals over six months.
