This study tested whether breathing a mixture of 50% nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and 50% oxygen can reduce pain during a legal abortion performed with local anesthesia. 71 adult women took part. The main goal was to measure pain during the procedure, with follow-up checks right after and two hours later.
